What is a Food Allergy?
A food allergy is an abnormal response by the body’s immune system triggered by a specific food. This allergic reaction to food can cause serious illness, and in some cases, death. If a food allergy is detected, it is extremely important that you work with your health care provider to find out what food(s) causes your allergic reaction.
